KathrynC Shalom everyone! Just sending some love to the brethren.
Hey...where is everybody...LOL. I just proclaimed Yahuah's name to another friend who is lost and wondering why "GOD" will not answer her prayers. So, I've been witnessing to more people and it seems as if more are slowly waking up. Have any of you been experiencing this? Of course, I think time is REALLY, REALLY short right now. that is my point. This state of confusion and acceptance of proven contradiction and overt opposition to your own 'source' puts you - according to your own bibles - in a very dire situation in which you are trusting the wrong sources for truth.

KathrynC Thanks for posting this, Yochana. I looked at Vol. III which is free online, but unfortunately could not get past the first line which reads:
"There was a certain man named Jesus about thirty years old"
First of all...if this account is in fact taken from the Hebrew (which I do believe it was written in first), why in the world would the author translate the name of the Messiah "Jesus" instead of Yahushua or at least a closer translation to current english as Joshua. The name Jesus clearly comes from the Greek word Iesous which we all know is not His true name. It baffles me that people can see the name Yahweh, but keep on with the Jesus.

KathrynC Thank you for the reply Yochana. I understand your point and it is well taken. I suppose I am big on the Jesus name issue as I believe it is being used by the adversary which is why I find it so dangerous for people to think it is okay to use it. I will read further and I do appreciate people taking the time and effort to put forth material that is important to uncovering the truth. I do understand the difficulty in trying to wake those who are sleeping and I know that they need to be spoon fed most of the time. I suppose I become impatient.
By the way...do any of you have a good suggestion as to the first bit of "awakening" material I may send to a family member that may be the most effective? I'm thinking of starting off with videos to show the paganism of Christmas and Easter as opposed to delving into the Paul issue. I appreciate all the posts and comments. Time is running out and I feel like I am not shouting loudly enough to those who could be stirring. You know what I mean?

Yochana The one that got me started down the road to truth was a book I read 30 years ago called "The Two Babylons" by Alexander Hislop. I quit celebrating both of the two hoiidays you mentioned right after reading that book. It really opened my eyes. I think that may be a good starting place, but unless they've reprinted it in larger print, the reader needs to have good eyesight! Lew White has a similar book called "Fossilized Customs" if the size of the print on the first book is an issue.Apr 24

Yochana I can't recommend this more highly. Vol. III is available free online. I started with Vol. I and am now in the process of reading Vol. II. To me, any serious student of the Scriptures who doesn't read all three volumes is short-changing himself. I understand that there are degrees of seriousness (and ability) when it comes to study, and cost could also be a limiting factor for some. But if you can, by all means, do!
Standford Rives seeks to provide the best approximation of the original Gospel of Matthew in Hebrew. There is no disputing Matthew wrote his gospel in Hebrew. In about 400 AD, Jerome translated it from a copy at the Library of Caesarea. It was quoted dozens of times by the earliest church commentators. Jerome explained that our Greek version of Matthew came from this Hebrew version. Jerome noted a score of variants that were interesting. Rives takes the 49 quotes in the early church and combines them with the best sources that reflect the early Hebrew Matthew, such as the Shem-Tob version of Matthew. I'm getting some extra water together as I went through the Northridge, California earthquake back in '94. Always good to have a flashlight under your bed!!
I also found it interesting about a comment from the link you sent, that the next 188 day cycle will fall on or around Yom Kippur. I think the birth pangs are increasing now.

'Breaking Dawn' Causing Seizures in Moviegoers?

"Breaking Dawn" is causing some moviegoers to tremble -- and not in delight at the sight of a shirtless Robert Pattinson.
The penultimate installment of the "Twilight Saga" series of vampire movies -- which opened Nov. 18 -- has reportedly caused seizures in at least two audience members.
Hardly the numbers of fainting viewers of last year's "127 Hours," but still...
Roseville, California, resident Brandon Gephart claims that the film's birthing scene -- which in addition to graphic gore contains blasts of blinding light -- triggered an incident when he attended the movie, causing him to convulse.
Gephart's girlfriend, Kelly Bauman, tells Sacramento station CBS 13 that Gephart suddenly began convulsing during the scene. Gephart claims that he blanked out, and only remembers waking up on the theater floor, but according to Bauman, he was "convulsing, snorting, trying to breathe.
Gephart, who was transported by paramedics to the emergency room, is seeking help from a specialist.
Meanwhile, a Utah woman told Salt Lake City's ABC 4 News that her husband experienced similar symptoms while viewing the movie last week.
When the birthing scene came on the screen, "[My husband] started mumbling and he was blinking on and off with his eyes at that point. I was kneeling in front of him slapping his face."
The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said he has no memory of the incident.
"I didn't really remember what happened after that I think I blacked out. According to her, I was shaking and mumbling different noises," he said.
Moreover, when they returned the next day to retrieve the man's cell phone, they were told that another audience member had experienced the same thing.
Though rare, seizures of this type are not unheard of. A 1997 episode of "Pokemon" was pulled from rotation after its first airing, when 685 viewers were taken to the hospital after reportedly suffering seizures while watching the episode, in a phenomenon that the Japanese press dubbed "Pokemon Shock." - Feb 11
